How to get rid of mold at home

Find the cause
- Leaking pipes and dripping water
- Poor ventilation, especially in bathrooms and corners
- Condensation on window reveals
- Drying laundry that is still wet indoors
A small patch (up to 1 m²)
- Wear gloves and a mask and ventilate the room.
- Lightly mist the surface with water so spores do not become airborne.
- Apply vinegar or 3% hydrogen peroxide and leave for an hour.
- Scrub with a brush and wipe with clean water.
- Dry the surface completely.
Prevention
Keep indoor humidity below 60%, air the bathroom after every shower and do not push furniture against walls.
When to call professionals
If the area is large, the mold has spread behind wallpaper or it keeps coming back, you need professional cleaning and an antiseptic treatment.
