How to remove stains from a sofa
The sooner you tackle a stain, the easier it comes out. The key rule: blot, do not rub.
- Pay after you accept the work
- Kiehl & Kärcher chemicals and equipment
- We estimate scope and price from photos or video on WhatsApp

Before you start
- Check the sofa's label: W means water, S solvent, WS both, X vacuum only.
- Test any product on a hidden spot first.
- Only blot the stain with a dry cloth; rubbing pushes it deeper.
Fresh stain
- Blot excess liquid with a paper towel.
- Add a little dish soap to cold water and blot from the edge toward the centre with a damp cloth.
- Blot with clean water and let it dry.
Grease
Sprinkle baking soda, leave for 20-30 minutes, vacuum it up and wipe the rest with soapy water.
Wine and coffee
Blot immediately, then clean with cold soapy water. Old stains need enzyme products.
Careful
Do not over-wet the sofa: moisture left inside causes odour and mold. Ventilate the room to dry it.
